How to find cosmetics without breaking the bank

 

Each month, the surprise is coiled in a neat package: some high-end products mailed to subscribers. Most are travel size called "miniature", some smaller, are just samples, but others are standard size. Arrived in the United States last year, the concept of "beauty box" is already a pretty popular with the French.

Launched last summer, the GlossyBox now has about 20,000 clients and 10,000 JolieBox according to the latest figures released in October. Subscribers are paying each month 13 euros (3 euros for postage) to receive their beauty box. On the market since December, My Little Box offers a slightly different box to 15.50 euros does not want only beauty but "lifestyle", including cookbooks, yoga bag or tea. My Little Box slips already in the mailbox of 20,000 customers and expects to win 20 to 30,000 more by the end of the year.

Central to the concept: receiving a "goodie bag" as a gift that amateur beauty products and wellness available to themselves. "The market is primarily emotional, says Fany Péchiodat, founder of My Little Paris, which sells My Little Box. What we want is to create a "magic effect", a minute of excitement when you open the box after a long wait, as if our client was feeling a little girl again. "And to leave again for a while a spoiled child, the subscriber is entitled to "a little story." My Little Box actually applies to "editorialize" the contents of cabinets, declining its products around a theme: detox, Valentine, New York or spring …  

Create a community

These boxes are targeting primarily the "beautystas," these young women between 20 and 40 who love to take care of their bodies. "To be interested in this concept, one must already be a consumer of beauty products," says Heloise Duchemin, in charge of looking within the agency Trendsource. Gradually up to men, or women who think of their companions: the Glossybox Rights was launched in December and a male JolieBox be launched very soon.
